What is this?
WCCC once again is recruiting a team to staff the Gear Check at Proud to Run. In addition to supporting fellow LGBTQ+ athletes and increasing visibility for the club, volunteering is a whole lot of fun (with 2,200+ runners stripping down to run in the heat, the eye candy can't be beat). Show the gay friendly and athletically minded runners what we are about by passionately assisting them with their packages!
Gear Check Responsibilities –
Keep runners’ items safe during the race! Volunteers will collect and organize bags from participants (usually containing clothes) at the start of the race. You’ll secure the gear until runners return to pick up their bags. Standing, bending, and lifting minimal weight required. This job is fast-paced at peak drop-off and pick-up times before and after race.
Register here to RSVP, and we'll follow up soon with details.
