Harbor Springs Classic
The official event happens on Saturday, June 1, 2019
John Clese will be leading this trip and has added an optional Friday ride for both events so you can ride for two days up in Harbor Springs. See below for details.

Harbor Springs is 3 hours and 45 minutes from Saugatuck and sits on the north side of Little Traverse Bay across from Petoskey.

The ride on Saturday is hilly so if you like the Wisconsin ride you will like this one!

All three of the road routes include the Tunnel of Trees, one of the most scenic roads in Northern Michigan.

You have a choice of 20, 45, or 60 miles to cycle. After your ride, join us for an awesome lunch, it's included!

We stay at the Birchwood In on Lake Shore Drive which is on the tunnel of trees.
Saturday Official Ride Package and Accomodations
1 people room - price is $200 plus taxes including ride registration
2 people sharing a room – price is $150 plus taxes per person including ride registration
3 people sharing a room – price is $135 plus taxes per person including ride registration
4 people sharing a room – price is $125 plus taxes per person including ride registration
It includes Friday and Saturday night's lodging, a hearty breakfast Saturday, a continental breakfast Sunday, and the ride registration fee

TRAVEL Options
Thursday Night, May 30
If you want to break up the travel, I suggest you leave Chicago and spend Thursday night at the Dunes or someplace else in Saugatuck/Fennville and we’ll drive up first thing Friday Morning. John Clese has two rooms available and people can share them at his house. You can also bring a sleeping bag and sleep on his screened porch or bring a tent and camp on his property.
Alternative if you don’t spend Thursday night in Saugatuck/Fennville:
Friday, May 31
Leave Chicago and drive straight through – about 6 hours and 15 minutes -don’t forget you lose an hour on the way up. Leave Chicago by 6AM if you want to ride on Friday at 2pm.
WEEKEND RIDES
Friday, May 31
40-mile ride from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix along the Little Traverse Roadway along the bay/lake – all paved and mostly flat. We could ride start at 2pm ET.
We can figure out dinner as a group.
Saturday, June 1
Harbor Springs Classic -Official Ride

Sunday, June 2
Morning ride – perhaps Little Traverse again if people did not do it on Saturday or we can find another trail.
Afternoon – depart. Remember you gain an hour so if you leave Harbor Springs at 1PM ET you get home a6 6:15PM CT
